Course Design

To create an engaging learning experience, I reviewed the daily living skills syllabus to establish the scope of work and define the course learning objectives, and the course outline.

The eLearning programme consists of the following courses:

  • Introduction to Doing Laundry
  • Washing and Drying Laundry
  • Keeping and Organising Laundry

This eLearning programme allows learners to explore the foundational knowledge in laundry management. Each course delves into a specific aspect of laundry management, such as sorting, stain removal, washing, drying, and laundry organisation techniques.

Course Development

I developed the eLearning courses in the programme on Canvas LMS using the reusable Learning Interfaces to achieve layout consistency of the learning content in the course.

By incorporating visual aids, multimedia elements, and interactive activities, the course content becomes accessible, engaging, and tailored to the unique needs of young learners on the autism spectrum.

Ultimately, the eLearning courses in the programme stand as an invaluable resource for young learners on the autism spectrum, equipping them with the crucial knowledge and skills to manage their laundry, nurture independence and foster the development of essential life skills.
